Microsoft has released an update to it Internet Information Services (IIS) platform.
The latest version of the web services is version 7. Now with a small update, we are up to 7.5. This version will be included with Windows Server 2008 and in the upcoming Windows 7.
From the reviews I’ve seen, one of the main upgrades is the integration of the FTP server into the main IIS administration page. In the past, setting up the FTP server was done separately. There have also been updates to setting up Request filtering. It is now also handled through the GUI interface. Rather than going through configuration files.
This may be old news, but with the release of Windows 7 in a couple of days, I thought it would be good to see which version of IIS it comes with.
